Scope of the Position

Audits the work activities of processing production workers to verify conformance of activities to quality assurance standards.

  • Required to pass all department tests (quality inspection, blueprint, gages, rulers and tools)
  • Reads processing information to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications
  • Observes workers using equipment to verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards
  • Observes and asks workers questions pertaining to job functions
  • Must have knowledge of limit samples, check fixtures, go-no-go gages, quality key points, ruler, profilometer and calipers
  • Writes and submits audit report to supervisory personnel
  • Assist in development of operator/inspection documents for production
  • Assist in development of quality audit plans
  • Monitor use of all check fixtures, gauges and limit samples
  • Monitor/audit SPC charts
  • Monitor/assist production employees on the use of quality and reject reports as applicable to operation/inspection
  • Must have good attendance and a solid safety record
  • All other duties as assigned



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The level in the work environment is usually loud.

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to properly maintain records and/or reports
  • Must be able to communicate in English
